Guard Your Heart and Mind‏ – A Message from Tyler Perry

Hey guys,

If you can get this, this will change your life… I was out taking my morning run. I love how still it is when I’m running. I can hear clearly and really commune with God. I wanted to share this with you. It’s a lesson I had to learn.

One of the keys to success is to be able to guard your heart. Now, usually when someone says guard your heart they are talking about keeping yourself from heartbreak. Although that is important (as long as you don’t go overboard… but that’s another conversation) that isn’t what I’m talking about. When we are born into this world we enter with such a pure heart but as we grow older situations, circumstances and people tend to make us change. Now I know it is nearly impossible to keep a childlike innocence in our hearts all of our lives, especially after people have betrayed, lied, mistreated and downright been the devil. Trust me when I tell you, I have seen it all. I have been there big time. If you’re like me you’ve been there too. But if this is your situation I want you to know two very important things about those moments of heartbreak. Number one, learn the lesson in it. See how it will work together for your good, because it will. Once you do, it’s easier to forgive and move on. Secondly, and this is just as important as the first one, you must not let that person or people change your heart. What do I mean by that? Well, if you are a giver and someone you have given to misuses your gift, don’t stop giving… just give to someone else. If you are a person that loves people and someone you love hates you, don’t stop loving… love someone else. Eventually, you will find people who appreciate your kindness and your love. Remember this, lots of people have been conditioned to not be able to accept purity of heart. They can’t take it in. Most times it’s not even their fault. It’s just what has happened to them on their journey in life. But don’t let them turn you into one of them. There will be a lot of people in your life who will not appreciate your pureness of heart. If they hurt you don’t stop being you… just be you with someone else.

Why is this so important? Because God blesses you according to what is in your heart. If you are being kind, giving, loving and sharing because it is in your heart and you are not looking for anything in return, then that is a heart that God wants to bless. If you change who you are because you’ve been hurt, then you’ve changed the thing that God wants to bless you according to, and that is your heart. The people who hurt you are not worth that. You can lose everything that you have, but don’t let anybody change your heart.

A Time of Change and Transformation

A Time of Change & Transformation

“Sorry, but it’s not working out.” Those were the exact words of the HR Manager three weeks after I started my new job. It didn’t matter that I had 20 years of credible experience in the same industry with dynamic reviews and references. It didn’t matter that in three weeks I had accomplished more than the previous employee who had been in that same position for three years. It didn’t matter that every morning I had wrestled with my emotions of leaving my three children in childcare for 12 hours a day while I rushed off to my employer to give 150% which left very little to give to my family. With all of that time, energy, effort, and sacrifice over 20 years, it seemed useless at that very moment.

After the emotional rollercoaster that day — fear, worry, anguish, desperation, confusion, anger — I promised myself that I would never again allow my future, my finances, or my happiness to dangle helplessly in the hands of anyone else. I knew that day had become a time for change and transformation in my life.

After I dried my eyes that day, I stepped into ACTION and never looked back. And, boy, did it drastically change my life. I learned how to embrace my gifts, talents, and creativity unapologetically and without regrets. I gained clarity about: my unique, God-given greatness that made me UNduplicatable, the positive impact I was destined to make on the lives of women around the world, and the legacy I was destined to create for my 4yr old, 5yr old, and 8yr old children who would surely follow my example. I learned that I had the personal power all along to “do something different so I could get different results.” I developed belief that I had what it took to become as successful as I wanted to be. But those lessons and that growth and development were not acquired overnight. I had to invest in ME and position myself with the experts who could show me the path for walking in my greatness.

I understand what it feels like to want something different but fear keeps you stuck where you are. I understand how it feels to want change in your life but you’re uncertain about how or where to get started. I understand the desperation of wanting to live your dreams but feeling an obligation to your responsibilities now. But I also understand that life is about LIVING instead of just EXISTING. When my dad passed away two years ago at 59 years old, it was yet another wake-up call for me to step into my greatness NOW and to create reasons instead of excuses for doing whatever it takes to become who you want to be!

Whevever I think back to that day in the HR Office wondering what was going to happen, wondering how I was going to pay my bills and feed my children without the paycheck I had relied on so heavily for 20 years in the coporate environment, I become re-energized again and again to keep speaking and training and teaching women globally to go out and get what they want, to pursue their passion, to become a role model, to serve others, and to build generational wealth using entrepreneurship as the platform.

And now I WANT TO SUPPORT YOU! If you are a woman looking for clarity about your unique gifts and talents, if you want to pursue your passion but fear is holding you back, if you’ve been allowing self-limiting beliefts to keep you stuck and stagnate, if you have a vision of success but don’t quite know how to get it up and running, if you have great ideas but noone to hold you accountable, if you want success but are lacking the systems and techniques to move forward, if you have passion for an existing business but don’t know how to make it profitable, if you are looking for a positive community to keep you motivated even when your inner-critic says you can’t do it… the FEARLESS Women In Business Academy is JUST FOR YOU!! Even if you are a woman who already has it all pulled together, undoubtedly, you know another woman — a family member, friend, colleague, neighbor, sister, daughter, or wife — who can benefit from this platform. Don’t be shy about sharing this exciting initiative and giving her the chance to become her very best!

Here goes my first blog posting ever. I have been trying to contemplate my 'Perfect Launch' onto the internet. Always seemed I had an excuse as to why I haven't just dived fully in thus far, after all you only have once to make a good first impression right? But after some inner turmoil and far too much thought I realized, no journey started just sitting idly by, you gotta take a first step, jump, skip, sprint towards whatever it is you are out to conquer.
