Prince and “New Girl” are teaming up. According to E! News, the rock-soul icon will portray himself on the Fox sitcom, in the episode debuting after the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 2nd. Prince is said to have initiated his appearance. He’s apparently a fan of the show, and reportedly approached producers about being a guest star. E! is reporting, Prince will “interfere” with Jess and Nick’s relationship. HitFix.com says the episode will revolve around one of Prince’s infamous Minneapolis house parties. “New Girl” stars Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson as Jess and Nick. Looking forward to more Prince sitings before he takes the stage in New Orleans at the Essence Music Festival.

In an interview with our sister station 92Q,Wale shared his thoughts on Tiara Thomas parting ways with him. He clearly felt betrayed, especially when he did all he could do for the artist just off of loyalty alone.
“No…it’ll take a while for me to do that again. I got trust issues already. I got artists that I am helping but it will never be at that capacity again,” Wale confirms.
Sounds like bad news for independent artists who hoped to work with DC’s most prolific rapper.

There are two schools of thought on album releases. One is to announce it way in advance and build up anticipation before it comes out, or do it Jay-Z’s way. In less than a month Hov will be releasing a new album, “Magna Carta Holy Grail” and Samsung Galaxy owners will have it three days before the general public.
In a commercial snuck in during game five of the NBA finals Mr. Carter is seen in the studio with hip-hop production heavyweights Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Pharrell Williams and Rick Rubin discussing the project and when it will be available.
“We don’t have any rules, everyone is trying to figure it out,” Jay-Z says in the clip. “That’s why the Internet is the Wild West. We need to write the new rules.”
The new rules include just…

To honor the upcoming release of his third album, The Gifted, and to show his appreciation to the team behind him, Wale the MMG rapper bought all the Nike Air Jordan 3s at Flight Club in NYC.
The history behind Michael Jordan’s third signature sneaker isn’t lost on Mr. Folarin, and he’s applying some of the mythos to his own career. “Jordan in ’88, when he jumped from that free throw line, iconic,” says Wale. “In sneaker culture the 3s was a consensus sneaker. The 3s were general consensus sneaker in which many sneaker heads favor the most. And that’s just the moment where everything became trill for MJ. This is my third album. This is when everything is about to get trill for Wale and Wale fans.”
