On March 25, President Barack Obama is expected make the official announcement about his decision to designate five new National Monuments. According to reports, one of the new national parks will include the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Monument in Maryland.

Located on the Eastern Shore, the tribute will include large sections of land that were significant to Harriet Tubman's life as a slave and Underground Railroad conductor.

Being from Chicago, President Obama knows what a REAL snow storm is all about. Yesterday, President O took a few shots at D.C. when he posted the picture below on Facebook with the caption "What a real snow day looks like".

The picture of he and First Daughters, Sasha and Mailia in knee deep snow in their Chicago hometown is nothing compared to the .725 inches of snow we saw here in the DMV.

The only way I see the economy getting any better is , the government issue each household 1 million dollars, every one is happy. People will be happy to see a big fat check, bankers will be happy to recieve them, employees will be happy they keep a job, businesses be happy people are spending, again employees are happy they keep a job, and last but not least, Uncle Sam be happy to get the taxes.

According to NBC News, 15 year Hadiy Pendleton is another innocent fallen victim to gun violence in the streets of the Chicago. It was only a short memory that Pendleton had the opportunity to perform at President Obama’s inauguration.

Pendleton had been an innocent bystander when a gunman opened fired and fled the seen in broad daylight. She was shot in the back and later died at the hospital.

Pendleton was a sophomore honor student attending King College Prep High School, looking forward to studying abroad in Paris this summer. Fellow students has described her as a well-liked student that loved to smile and laugh.

The city of Chicago has had more than 40 shooting victims since the beginnnig of this year and a reported 506 homicides last year.

How many more innocent lives have to be taken and families destroyed before we get a handle on gun control. If this is the way for Congress to maintain human population control they are doing a great job. Something has to done, too many of our good people are losing their lives at the hands of criminals.

Obama weighing executive action on guns

WASHINGTON (AP) — Facing powerful opposition to sweeping gun regulations, President Barack Obama is weighing 19 steps that could be taken through executive action alone, congressional officials said.

Those steps could include ordering stricter action against people who lie on gun sale background checks, striking limits on federal research into gun use, ordering tougher penalties against gun trafficking, and giving schools flexibility to use grant money to improve safety.
