I started my evening by watching TLC’s, The Sisterhood, then following the opening of, The Starter Wives Confidential. I must say that this was an interesting evening of catiness. Well, not so much for, The Sisterhood. For those of you that don’t know the women of The Sisterhood, let me acquaint you with them. In the photo above from left to right, DeLana Rutherford, Tara Lewis, Christina Murray, Domonique Scott, Ivy Couch. You see, this group of women are a little different from all the other jumping across the table, drink throwing, hair pulling women that have been showcased since the creation of reality housewives. These are women of the cloth, First Ladies and pastors. Christina along with her husband runs, Oasis Family Life Church in Atlanta and have two beautiful daughters. DeLana is the sassy white girl that is married to Myles Rutherford, pastor of Worship the Wonders Church and homeowner of The Rutherford Plantation. Domonique is my girl with her opinionated, voiceful, tell it like it is self. Married to an Evangelical pastor, Brian Scott. This couple has endured some rough times throughout their marriage after losing their church home. By the way, Domonique despise the plaque of the plantation that greets the guest of the Rutherfords home. Ivy is married to Mark, pastor of Emanuel Tabernacle Church. You may or may not remember her as one of the singers in the girl group Xscape. And last, but not least we have Tara, sporting an interracial marriage with Brian Lewis, struggling to find their niche after Brian was released from his short lived pastor position. These women are brave to address their past and present issues before a very judgmental audience. The show has already received backlash from their church peers for their representation amongst the religion population. The way they see it, it’s not a good look, but what people fell to realize is spirituality does not immune people from being human. We all have problems and issues that deals with every day life trying to get it right. These are some of the same people that spoke negatively of the show Mary Mary which is actually a good show.
Now the group of women that are below are totally on the opposite end, but share somee of the common difficulties that is experienced in life. These ladies all had relationships with some of the most well known celebrity men across the nation. First, we have Zakia Baum whom shares a son with her ex, rapper Jermaine “Maino” Coleman. It is also rumored that he had a past relationship with female rapper, Lil Kim and if you look close there is some facial resemblance with both these women. Josie Harris has three children with professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather. Their relationship ended when Floyd allegedly laid hands on her. He too has selected a fiance that closely resembles his ex. Liza Morales, mother of three with NBA baller Lamar Odoms whom is now married to Khloe Kardashian. Here we have another resemblance carrier, checkout the pics below. Monica Taylor is raising her two children with her ex, most popular DJ and radio personality DJ Flex. Monica is also known for her gossip blog, Mommy’s Dirty Little Secret. Now these women don’t have any problem expressing their heartfelt feelings when it comes to their exes, but they have come to a point in their lives to show the world it’s time to move on and start a new life for themselves. Oh, I forgot to mention one more person, Shaniqua Thompkins, the ex of Curtis Jackson aka 50 cent. She was actually suppose to be a cast member of the show but was hit with a cease and desist order petitioned by 50 cent due to a past agreement they made some years ago. Hopefully they can work something out so she has the opportunity to start a new life. I believe if she keeps their relationship out of the show and any negative publicity she can continue.
