MILWAUKEE (WITI) — A candlelight vigil was held Thursday evening for Robert James, the victim of a homicide near North 15th Street and Atkinson Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. The 30-year-old James was rehabbing a home in the area when he was shot and killed.  Reports claim James may have been killed by a disgruntled tenant, but Milwaukee Police have not specified the motive for the shooting, and continue to investigate this incident.

FOX6 News attended the vigil and spoke with family and friends of James.  Family is trying to figure out why Robert James was gunned down. They say he was working to clean up a neighborhood.

“To all you mothers that god kids, cherish them. Because we don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring,” said James mother, Gloria Nichols.

VH1 Drops First Look At ‘Drumline’ Sequel

Black America Web

[ione_embed src=// service=youtube width=660 height=361 type=iframe]
Before Alexandra Shipp took on the role of Aaliyah, she was the heartbeat of Atlanta A&T’s marching band! The actress is starring in “Drumline 2: A New Beat” as Danielle “Dani” Bolton, who dreams of becoming the band’s first female lead percussionist.

She’ll be striving for her goal under Sean (played by Leonard Roberts), who has gone from drum section captain to band leader. Of course, Nick Cannon will be back as drumline alum Devon Miles, and the guys will show off their skills as a team to inspire the new class!

From the trailer, it looks like he’s done alright for himself. We’re getting famous producer vibe from him, but we’ll have to wait until fall to find out!

I’m also excited to see LeToya Luckett join the cast as Atlanta A&T’s hot, young dean Dr. Nia Phillips. She has some history with Sean…
