Fellow collaborators such as Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, and Shock G have spoke of Tupac Shakur’s work ethic and willingness to collaborate in the 18 years since his untimely death. A new series of handwritten letters being auctioned by Bonhams touches on that collaborative spirit and more. One letter, written to a friend of Shakur’s named ‘Big Lock’ gives brief details about Tupac’s plan for a super group comprised of various emcees.
‘I’m doing a record now called ONE NATION,’ the letter reads. ‘It’s a group project with me, Greg Nice, Buckshot, Smif-N-Wessun, OutKast, The Outlawz, Scarface & E-40.’
In previous separate interviews, Buckshot and Greg Nice have confirmed being approached by Shakur about the project. E-40, Scarface, and The Outlawz also all worked with Shakur while he was alive.
