Hip hop impresario Clifford “T.I.” Harris Jr. has confirmed that there will be a sequel to his beloved urban classic ATL.
The first film, based loosely on the lives of hip hop super producer Dallas Austin and T-Boz of TLC, turned Lauren London (New New) and Evan Ross into stars and showed that Big Boi (one-half of the groudbreaking group OutKast) could actually act.
ATL grossed $11 million in its debut weekend at the box office and remains in heavy rotation on television.
“#ATL2 Get Ready,” tweeted T.I. who posted a photo of himself with ATL 2 co-stars co-stars Jackie Long and Jason Weaver.
Tip is not down at the movie studios. His next movie project is the comedy Get Hard, Starring Kevin Hart andWill Ferrell, in theaters on March 27.
