Estelle revealed that she?s going to be making an Fox?s record-smashing hit drama ?Empire?!

As if we didn?t have enough reason to tune in already, Estelle revealed during the latest episode of ?The Read? that she?ll be doing a guest spot on the show.

?I?m going to be on ?Empire? March 4. I?m so excited!? she dished. ?I sing my single ?Conqeror? for someone special. It?s a moment. It?s a moment.?
Host Crissle West immediately assumed that Estelle would be singing for Terrence Howard, and the singer got a hearty chuckle off of that. And when questioned if Terrence was fine in person, she politely hinted that he?s not her cup of tea. ?You know what? He?s?he?s good looking,? said Estelle. ?He?s like an older guy.?
We could definitely see Estelle singing for Terrence?s character, Lucious Lyons, but it would be interesting to see that song dedicated to Cookie! Check out the rest of ?The Read? below.

Bobby Brown Asks Media To Stop Talking To Family Members

Originally posted on Black America Web:

It appears Bobby Brownis having problems controlling certain family members from blabbing to the press about Bobbi Kristina Brown, so he’s asking the press to refrain talking to them.

The reality of relatives speaking to reporters without Brown’s permission about his comatose daughter’s condition is borne out in conflicting reports about her current status and future.

“At this time it is requested that the media cease speaking with unauthorized members of the family. The integrity of the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina must remain uncompromised,” Brown’s legal counsel, Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, said in a statement to Extra.

“Various members of the family have provided media interviews, however, none of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina. None of them have firsthand knowledge of Bobbi Kristina’s treatment and the medical staff at Emory University Hospital has not communicated with them,” the statement…

ILOVEMAKONNEN Releases Tribute To Whitney Houston

Originally posted on AllHipHop:

It’s been a year and three days since the legendary singer, Whitney Houston, passed away. Three years later, it seems like the Houston (and Brown) name isn’t getting any better news since Bobbi Kristina Brown is struggling for her life. Fortunately, Houston’s legendary name in music still lives on and oddly inspires artists like iLoveMakonnen. Recently, the OVO musician released a cover of Houston’s classic song “I Will Always Love You”. It might not be as melodic as the original, but Makonnen still provides the classic with a serious tone, adding a slideshow full of pictures to make the vibes more emotional. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, James touched on the Ohio police shooting that left 12-year-old Tamir Rice dead last November — an event that resonates with the 30-year-old father of two. When asked if he’s had the “talk” with his sons, LeBron said:

“I have those conversations with my boys. They have tons of play guns. None of them look real. We have Nerf guns that are lime green and purple and yellow,” he says. “But I don’t even let them take them out of the house.”

In the wake of former officer Darren Wilson’s shooting of Ferguson, Missouri teen Michael Brown that left Brown dead and Wilson a free man, dozens of protestors and organizers took to the Missouri streets. Some were pepper sprayed and even arrested, and in the midst of the unrest, Talib Kweli helped establish a The Action Support Committee. The Committee aimed to raise $25,000 and disperse the money in the form of grants to those in need. Kweli addressed the Committee’s goals via the following written statement:

‘These are young men and women who have put their lives on hold to stand up for all of our freedoms.
