Peacock Princess

Originally posted on makeupbyleelee:

Happy Friday! Today, I went for a bright, colorful peacock inspired look that I saw on Beautylish. I used a vibrant yellow in the inner corner of my eyes, an acid green eyeshadow in the middle of my eyes and a teal color in the outer corner of the eyes, blended into the crease. I also used a royal blue eyeshadow in my crease as well. For the lips, I LOVE purple lipstick so I used MAC Punk Couture mixed with Makeup Forever Intense Rouge lipstick in #14. If u have any questions or comments, please leave them below. Thanks for viewing!

Beauty Tip Of The Week : Vaseline On Lashes

Originally posted on We ARE ThE Skinny Minority:

This weeks beauty tip comes from Oraph’s re-nowed makeup artist Reggie Wells. Several years I read an article where he said he often used Vaseline on Halle Berry’s eyelashes!!!!!images

Why you might ask? Vaseline can actually act like a mascara, making lashes fuller and bolder. However, it is not magically so don’t expect it to work like your favorite drugstore brand of mascara, it won’t. However, I find that it is great for running errands or outings with when you want to be put-together and natural.

The good news is it can also be worn under mascara. I wore it under mine yesterday and it was perfect. I wanted to look polished but not too done.  You simply apply lightly with finger tips or or with a Q-tip, I perfer to use my fingers. Try it and tell us how it worked.

Gwen Stefani’s baby is finally here! While we are excited about the little one she has growing inside her, that’s not the baby we’re talking about; OPI has officially released their collaboration with the rocker, and it has us feeling hella good.

When the news of the collaboration was announced back in October, OPI stated in the release they were initially inspired by the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala that featured the theme “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” with a collection of polish that celebrates “the role of music as a major influence in fashion.” And of course, the gorgeous Gwen was the obvious choice for the collaboration.

As promised, the punk-inspired collection features five nail polishes: Love. Angel. Music. Baby.(gold), In True Stefani Fashion (silver), Hey Baby (hot pink), I Sing in Color (deep dark red) and 4 in the Morning (black).

In addition to some amazing names and colors, the…

Working With Brands

Technically, you are selling yourself…

Blogging is my outlet and I do it because I truly enjoy it. As a result of putting in work, I have received opportunities to work with brands. A brand is a company, no matter how large or small. After researching on the internet I found that there was not a whole lot of information on working with brands and how to conduct and protect yourself as a blogger. I have thought of and created a list of things I wish I knew when I started working with brands. Please note that if you are new to blogging that blogging takes work and time, things aren’t just going to fall in your lap.

  • You, yourself, are a brandYou have created a brand for yourself whether you are a blogger, YouTube guru, or social media mogul. Your name and face are attached to something that…
