Talk about running the world.

Michelle Obama sat down with rapper Wale on Friday to answer questions and promote herReach Higher initiative, a campaign aimed at encouraging all students to continue their educations past high school.

She took the opportunity to reveal the advice she’d give to her college self, but most importantly, she revealed something amazing: If FLOTUS could have a different job other than being, well, FLOTUS, she would choose to be Beyoncé.

The First Lady’s affinity for Bey is not new. She invited the songstress to her birthday party and has even attended her concerts. Still, it’s humbling (and kind of hilarious) to learn that even someone as flawless as FLOTUS feels the same way we all do about Bey.

Keep throwing that “Single Ladies” hand up in the air, girlfriend.

He said Tuesday in a press conference that he could win a third term in office if he ran again, but that he is barred by the Constitution.

“I actually think I’m a pretty good President. I think if I ran, I could win. But I can’t,” Obama said during a speech in Ethiopia. “There’s a lot that I’d like to do to keep America moving. But the law is the law, and no person is above the law, not even the president.”

Obama’s remarks come just after a new CNN/ORC poll found his approval rating standing in a positive range…

MANSFIELD (AP) — A Massachusetts man has been arrested by police and the U.S Secret Service after they said he made death threats against President Barack Obama.

Mansfield police and Secret Service agents Friday went to the West Village apartments on West Street to speak with the man who they say made threats to kill the president. He refused to cooperate and would not leave his apartment.

A SWAT team and negotiator were brought in and the man eventually left his apartment and was taken into custody.

Police say a search of his apartment did not find anything that appeared to be a public safety hazard.

The man was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

Massachusetts State Police and the Secret Service are investigating the matter. Mansfield police say criminal charges may be filed.

President Obama Hosted a Private Screening With the Cast of Selma

Originally posted on TIME:

The White House hosted stars from Selma on Friday night for a private viewing of the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic.

Oprah and hip-hop artist Common joined the president and Michelle Obama just a day before the First Lady’s 51st birthday, among other cast and crew, People reports.

Common was pretty excited about it.

The event came just a day after the critically praised Selma received only two Oscar nominations, sparking a backlash and the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite. David Oyelowo was expected to win an acting nod for his lauded portrayal of Martin Luther King Jr., and pundits had predicted that…
